donation policy

Donation policy

Last updated: June 2026

The donate page lets you send optional voluntary payments via PayPal. This policy explains what that means. For privacy information, see the privacy policy.

Voluntary only

Donations are entirely optional. They are tips of appreciation, not payment for goods or services, and do not create a contract for work, support, or deliverables.

PayPal handles payment

When you donate, you leave opes.dev and complete payment on PayPal’s website or app. I do not collect or store card or bank details on this site. PayPal’s terms and privacy policy apply to your payment.

Non-refundable

Because donations are voluntary gifts, they are generally non-refundable. If you made a payment in error, contact PayPal first. You may also email [email protected] and I will consider genuine mistakes in good faith, but I am not obliged to refund completed PayPal transfers.

Not tax-deductible

Opes is not a registered charity. Donations are not tax-deductible unless your local tax rules say otherwise for personal gifts (which is unlikely). Do not treat a donation as a charitable contribution.

No perks guaranteed

Donations do not entitle you to priority support, custom work, or any other benefit unless I explicitly agree that separately.

Changes

I may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will reflect changes.
